Loveseats (or cuddle sofas, as they are often referred to), are 1.5-seater sofas that have been designed for two people to snuggle upon. They are in-between a sofa and an armchair, making them the perfect addition to any living room.
Standard loveseats measure around 52-inches wide, however, this can vary slightly depending on the style. Our Knightbridge loveseat, for example, is a comfortable 55-inches wide!
You may be wondering why a 1.5-seater sofa is often called a loveseat. The name ‘loveseat’ originated from the 19th century, when these ‘oversized chairs’ were taken advantage of for courting, allowing couples to sit very close together without it being deemed indecent.
